Grace and Strength For Troubled Times

Sunset“Troubled times” can have many different meanings as there are so many ways for us to be troubled.  Here are a few verses to hang on to, draw strength from, and lead us to our help in the Lord!

My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.  Psalm 121:2

For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.  For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”  The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.  Romans 8:14

From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.  Psalm 61:2

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  Romans 5:1-2

But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  2 Corinthians 12:8-9

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.  Hebrews 4:16

Since then you have been raised with Christ.  Set your hearts on things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.  Set your minds on things above for you died, and your life is now hidden in Christ with God.  Colossians 3:1-3

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.  Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.  Galatians 5:1

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:37~39

For You have been my help and in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.  My soul clings to you; Your right hand upholds me.  Psalm 63:7
