There can be some confusion about our three holidays in the United States which honor those who serve or have served in the military. As a means of honoring those who’ve served or are serving, as a public service, and possibly as a point of education to our international friends, we offer here a brief explanation.
Veterans Day in the USA celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the armed forces. Armed Forces Day in the US is a holiday for US citizens to thank our military members for their service in support of their country.
