Freedom to Share Your God Story

Have you ever thought of the sum total of your life experiences as being a gift from God? That the journey you have walked, no matter how joyful or painful, is something God has gifted you with? And more important, that He wants you to share that gift with others?

If not, I’d like to challenge you today to make the choice to look at your life with a fresh vision. I’d like to challenge you today to make the choice to view your life as your God Story. And, I’d like to take that one step further. I’d like to challenge you today to make the choice to share your God Story with others.

As faith-filled boomer babes, we have each lived our lives through joy and pain and have come out the other side with a God Story. Our stories are as unique as we areyet as Christians, we share a common denominator. That through it all, no matter how many hills or valleys we have traversed, God has been at work. At all times and in all ways—even when we couldn’t see or feel his presence.

I often quote my friend, Michelle McKinney Hammond, “Every test is a testimony and every mess is a ministry.” What test or mess has God brought you through? What pressure have you been through in your pain that has turned coal into a diamond?

I was blessed to speak several times last month during Mother’s Day weekend. The topic of my messages was, “God Allows U-Turns: The Choices We Make Change the Story of Our Life.” This is not only a series of books that I’ve edited and the foundation for my ministry outreach, it really is something that I live by.

I truly believe the choices we make can change our life story, and that our choices can change or have an impact on the lives and stories of others.

This past Mother’s Day, a legend in gospel music, Dottie Rambo, was tragically killed when her bus hit an embankment and crashed. A friend of mine knew this amazing singer/songwriter, and her life was impacted due to the choice Dottie Rambo made years ago to share her music and testimony—her God Story. Indirectly, my life has been impacted because of what my friend learned from Dottie. I would hazard to guess that even though Dottie is now with her Heavenly Father, that her God Story will continue to have lasting impact on countless lives. Because long ago she made the choice to share her story.

When we share our testimonies, our God stories, it’s impossible to know the long-term impact they will have. We never know who may be changed as a result of hearing our story. We never know who might make different choices in their life because we made the choice to boldly and unashamedly share how God has worked in our life.

The choices I made early in my life greatly influenced the choices that my only child made in his life. Later, after I became a Christian and began to make better choices, I began to see just how powerful my choices were. I made a choice to share my journey in learning to set boundaries with my adult son and the book I wrote as a result of that choice is helping to change lives. I felt the call on my heart to write it—yet I had no earthly idea how God would open the floodgates of heaven to bless the project. He had a plan for my life and he gave me my God Story for a purpose.

What is your God Story? What purpose has God given to you through your journey?

As Christians, our greatest call is to be lanterns to light the way for others to come to know Jesus. The Great Commission challenges us to be witnesses to what God has done, and to bring others to know God’s amazing grace, mercy, peace, and joy.

Maybe you thought you would be at a different place in life than you are now. Maybe there were things that happened to you that were out of your control, yet we can still choose how we respond. We can make choices that bring hope and healing not only to our lives, but to the lives of others as we share our God Story. God has given you the gift of your story. My prayer for you is that you will make the choice to share your journey with others. That you would open your heart to boldly proclaim how God has changed your life, and that in so doing you will bring others into the family of God.

“God can do anything you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.”

Preface – I am not trying to be cryptic about my identity but I share this anonymously lest I should be deceived by any means with pride. I seek not nor want any recognition for myself.

Would you like to share this on your site? No copyright, my own writing as I received from the Lord. May it bless others as it has blessed me.

    PERSONAL PRAYER OUTLINE

I receive the prayer of Paul this morning:

    1Thess 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus; I come before your throne of grace this morning to ask for mercy and grace such as I need to live life today. To be prosperous and healthy, to continue in your word, be Your disciple, to know the truth and be perfectly free. I come at your word:

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

I come again today my Lord to enter into and remain in your rest according as it is written:

Mt 11: 28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Good morning Father, good morning Jesus, good morning Holy Spirit. This is the day that the Lord has made, by Your grace I will be glad and rejoice in it.

I remember again today that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen according to Heb 11:1. That hope comes from patience and comfort of the scriptures according to Rm 15:4. That hope maketh not ashamed because the unconditional love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost. (Rm 5:5) May my hope be only what You desire and the earnest expectation of what I am to be, what I am to do, and what I am to possess for Your glory alone.

I rejoice for Rom 10:17 that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

I acknowledge and honor your word again today Lord:

    Mark 11:22-24
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

    Therefore I say:

My faith is not in myself but in You Lord. You are love and I know that faith worketh by love. (Gal 5:5) Lord, let your perfecting love keep all doubt from my heart, that I may fearlessly conduct my life today in perfect agreement with You. I believe I receive this and thank You, so be it. Lord let it be again today that I enjoy good fellowship with You not only as servant, not only as a son who serves out of love for You, but also as friend. You deserve only perfection. I ask for grace to allow patience to have its perfecting work in me that I may be entire and lacking of nothing as I offer myself to You today.

I JESUS TAUGHT ME TO PRAY

Matt 6:9-13 Our Father which art in Heaven, hallowed (honored and revered) be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done today in the earth as it is done in heaven. Give me this day my daily bread, (to perceive Jesus in those I meet today and in all creation, to know Your heart, mind, and soul, to understand Your plans and purposes, and that I find opportunity and ability to do Your will which is become my meat. Father, please forgive me if I should sin today as You have taught me and I have forgiven others. Let me not be trapped in temptation but rather keep me from evil, for I commit myself to You and Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory now and forever, Amen!

Father because of Jesus’ prayer of John 17 … that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them and I in them, I believe that I am able to love Jesus as You have loved Him, I pray that I will be aware of that love and act today; to love You, to love my neighbor, and to love myself.

    II PROSPERITY FIRST AND FOREMOST

Father, I remember again today that Your first words to man were to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion in it. (Gen 1:26) I believe and accept that Your greatest desire is that I should prosper and be in health even as my soul should prospers, (3 Jn 2) and so I say:

    Ps 103:1-22
    Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger forever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

Lord, help me to honor You again today by accepting that as my soul prospers and is whole in you with nothing missing or broken, so too is every area of my being as I conduct the affairs of life today. 3 John 2

Father, may I experience today Your overflowing, more than enough, exceeding abundantly above all that I could ask or think, provision in my spirit, mind, soul, body, finances and my social status and interactions. May I be neither proud or falsely humble and realize every minute today, that I am, that I have, and that I do nothing more, yet not a bit less than what You have determined before I was ever born into this world. I pray Father, that I be a perfect ambassador for Christ and honor You in all things.

    (SPIRITUAL PROSPERITY) It is written:

    Rom 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

I pray Father that you will reveal to me all things about myself, that with You I will be able to bear the revelations without shame and never hide anything from You.

    Rom 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.

    Rom 8:14-17
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Father, I also pray again today to know my part of the sufferings of Christ and to bear all things honorably by Your grace. If I am privileged to be challenged today may I remember that I can do all things through Christ which empowers me and that in Him I am more than a conqueror. Help me to remember that I can pray Your perfect will in every situation. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. (Rm 8:28)

    (PHYSICAL) It is written:

    Prov 4:20-22
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

    Rom 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

I rejoice today Father, that all sickness and disease whether written in the Law or not is a curse of the law (Dt 28) and that:

    Gal 3:13-14
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: Therefore I will never be sick another day in my life.

(Here speak faith about the body in general and specific health issues)

Let my body be in good health today, free from all sickness and disease. Let my eyes see perfectly, my ears hear perfectly, my body be youthful and energetic, my head be thick with hair, my teeth be straight, white, strong, and free from decay, I believe that every cell of my body is being today renewed by the law of the Spirit of Life, so be it, in Jesus name!

    (FINANCIAL) It is written:

    Deut 8:18
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

    Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

    2 Cor 8:9
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

    2 Cor 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

(Here speak of finances in general and specific goals God has given)

Money cometh to me now in the name of Jesus. Wealth and riches be in my house. I owe no man anything but to love him. Father, I joyfully thank You, and receive my needs met according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I call on the blessing of God today to possess abundance to every good work. Father, thank You, for blessing me to be a blessing and that all nations are blessed through me as You prosper me in all I do. I call again today to angels and all spirits of men and women who are anointed to help me to find me and work with me in every commission of God that I undertake. In Jesus name, so be it.

(MIND & SOUL) It is written:
    Isaiah 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
    Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God and the peace of God that passeth understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Let the peace of God guard my thoughts and feelings today. Father, by Your grace today I will fear no evil nor dishonor you by worrying which is doubt. At the end of the day may I remember to thank You and lie me down to sleep with sweet dreams.

(SOCIAL STATUS AND INTERACTION) It is written:

    Psalm 8:4-5
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
For thou hast made him a little lower than the elohim, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

    Rev 1:5-6
Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Father, help to remember that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, in Your image and after Your likeness and that I have authority over the works of Your hands. Let me never seek the opinions of men but to live by the honor that cometh from God only. By the grace of God I will conduct myself nobly today in all situations as befits a king and a manifested son of God. Though I am noble and glorified with the glory of God that was in Christ Jesus before the world was, I will remember that it is enough for a servant to be as his Lord, meek and lowly in heart. Help me Father, to be aware today once again that I am nothing more yet not a bit less than what You made me. That the grace by which I stand is the free gift of God and I have nothing in myself to boast about. This too I know Father will keep me from deception, thank You for true humility. (Gen 1:26, Eph 2:8, Eph4:1, John 17, Mt 11:29, 2 Tim 1:9, and more)

    Matt 7:12
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Father, I pray also again today that I will not forget that all men are created the same as me and that I will have no respect of persons, but treat others in truth. Help me to know discretion and not to fear the opinions of others but rather to know how to treat everyone as You would Yourself. Today, by the grace of God Father, I will honor You as a perfect ambassador for Christ. I am well aware of fleshly weakness but I look to You for strength to bear the faults I find in myself and others and be gracious to all.

Let me treat others as I would like to be treated today.

III WISDOM IS THE PRINCIPLE THING

    It is written:

    Proverbs 4:7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Lord, I receive again today: Prov 3:1-26
My son forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (do this now)
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
(Lord, I ask for Your judgment which is righteous. I welcome; doctrine; reproof, correction; and instruction in righteousness that I may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto every good work .)
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
He is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto Him.
Length of days is in His right hand; and in His left hand riches and honour.
His ways are ways of pleasantness, and all His paths are peace.
He is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon Him: and happy is every one that retaineth Him.
The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

Lord, let me walk in close fellowship with You today as wisdom. Let me hear Your voice as it is spoken abroad throughout all the earth. Help me to remain close by You and be quick to believe You and act on Your words. I remember how much I need You in everything. I believe 1 Cor 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: Thank You Lord, I count myself wise in You today.

    IV PSALM 91

Lord I believe in Your word so let me be established. I believe the word of Your prophet, King David as fresh and true today as it was when it was spoken thousands of years ago:

    Ps 91:1-16
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with
him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long
life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Help me to remember today that I am in You and have nothing to fear and much to rejoice about. Lord whether I must face the most horrific challenges, a fiery furnace, a den of lions, torture, loathsome disease, murderous crowds, or even death may I honor You. If I must only discipline my flesh, or keep my tongue from evil, and ignore minor irritations, help me to trust in Your grace. I believe that though many are the afflictions of the righteous, the Lord delivereth him out of them all. Oh heart of my heart, rejoice in the Lord always, for there shall be no want to those who put their trust in Him.

V FRUITFUL IN EVERY GOOD WORK

Father, You deserve my all in all. When I come to receive from You I desire to be empty but as I offer to You in worship I desire to bring a gift. I am here with nothing to receive pruning and grace as it is written:

    John 15
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

I pray today to be able to live in Your word and bear fruit according to Your will. I realize that by these my way is made truly prosperous and glorifies You. I offer myself to You again today with all my heart, and with the fruits of my spirit in the Holy Spirit:

(Love)I offer you my willingness to lay down my life, (joy)to be calmly delighted, (peace)to know that all is whole nothing is missing or broken. (longsuffering)I offer my ability in Christ to bear anything for any amount of time to accomplish my will. (gentleness)To be considerate of the conditions and circumstances of my brethren, also (goodness)to recognize the gifts and talents I have of You. (faith)I offer my will to believe and speak Your word, (meekness)to remain teachable, and (temperance)to be strong in all things to moderation being the same yesterday today and forever.

    Gal 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

May this please You and bring glory and joy to heart in Jesus name.

VI I MUST WORK THE WORKS OF HIM THAT SENT ME

    It is written:

    John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

    Mark 16:17-18
    And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

    And again it is written:

    John 10:4-5
And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Lord may I see your way clearly today that I may follow you. Let there be no doubt that I can and will, at your direction fly, walk on water, part the sea, still the storm, raise the dead, heal the sick, go through fire or flood if necessary without the flame kindling upon me or the water overflowing me, walk in the midst of any danger without harm, or do anything that is necessary to carry out your will. I believe I hear and know your voice and a stranger I do not follow.

VII THE HOLY SPIRIT AND PRAYER FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST

    It is written:

    John 14:16-17
    And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

    John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

    John 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

[ In praying daily for the body of Christ, the prayer though seeming as praying for ourselves personally, we are praying as part of the body, for all of the body (1 Cor 12) – there are yet many that are still receiving the Holy Spirit and new believers each day. Keep asking until all have received and, we are all in unity and harmony as the body of Christ. Until we all know ourselves and each other as God knows us and until we all have the ability to handle that type of knowledge. Until all are using the fullness of the power of God (resurrection power) to represent Christ and glorify God]

    Eph 1:16-23 (my revision)

I cease not to give thanks for all believers in Christ and pray:
Oh God of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, please give unto all of us again today the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You: The eyes of our understanding being enlightened; that we may know what is the hope of your calling, and what the riches of the glory of your inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of Your power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of the mighty power, that You wrought in Christ, when You raised him from the dead, and set him at Your own right hand in the heavenly places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

    Eph 3:14-21 (my revision)
I pray unto You, Oh Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That You would grant us again today, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might by the Holy Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend
with all of each other what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that we might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Now unto You who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that I ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto You be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

PERSONAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Holy Spirit, I welcome you today as Comforter, Teacher, Revealer of the things of God yea the deep things, and Guide into all the truth. You are the friend that sticks closer than a brother. Help me to remember today that am filled with all the fullness of God. That it is my privilege today to explore and enjoy that fullness. I also ask for continued revelation, dreams, and visions and that you show me things to come. I believe in you and thank you for it, in Jesus name.

VIII THE PRIZE OF THE HIGH CALLING

    It is written:

    1 Pet 1:15-17
    15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Holy Spirit, I know that you take hold together with me against my infirmities; (Rm 8:26) if I should become weak or overcome today with opportunity to (here address personal and common issues) be drunken, gluttonous, enraged, offended, overly saddened, discouraged, or attempt to do any other thing contrary to God’s will for me, stop me. Be my strength to get my eyes off myself and look to Jesus. I give myself to You right now in this again today. It is my desire to be perfect, clean, and holy by the blood that was shed for me and the grace that was so freely given to me. It is my desire to please God in all I am and all I do, and to hear when I am called home to Heaven, “well done thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of thy Lord, sit with me in my throne, be a pillar in the temple of my God, received a new name written in your forehead and a stone with a new name that no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.” (Rev 2&3)

To this end I dedicate myself and commit my ways to God. That I may know how today to lay down my life, take up my cross, and follow Jesus. I declare by faith that I am crucified with Christ, like Paul, nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ liveth in me. May I walk worthy today of the vocation wherewith I am called by the grace of God who loved me and gave Himself for me that He might deliver me from this present evil world according to the will of God my Father.

I pray too Father and present myself as clay before a master craftsman. Make of me what You will today that I may be all things to all men for You. May it please You to make me a vessel of honor that is ever ready for Your use. May You always find in me a son (daughter) that You want to communicate with and that You can communicate anything, at any time, in any manner, and that You can trust my discretion.

VII GRATITUDE, ARMOR, HUMILITY, AND LOVE

Thank You Father for my home, my food, my clothes, and all the conveniences I enjoy. Thank You also for the things I have requested (address specifics), I believe Jesus, that “whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, He will give it you” (Jn 16:23)

Thank You for the armor of God: the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, my loins girt about with truth, my feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, having the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God, and the shield of faith wherewith I can quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Thank You for teaching me to pray and glorifying me. Thank You also for the cloak of humility that keeps the glory from blinding me.

Remember my wife (husband, friend, or other persons) today and reveal Yourself to her (him/her/them) in a special way that she (he/she/they) may know You better and see clearly the goodness that You are.

Thank you for your promise to contend with that which contends with me and save my children. (having made such request and invoked such promise) Thank You for your promise to me that You would follow them everywhere, talk to them, and reveal Yourself to them. That You would keep them saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, serving You all the days of their lives in peace and prosperity.

Lord, I love You with all my heart and mind and soul and strength.

Now Lord, I ask for You to speak to me as I quiet myself. I will receive what you say with joyfulness and gladness of heart.

One man said “we have two ears and one mouth, therefore we ought to at least listen twice as much as we speak”.

Lord may I never have a one way conversation with the Creator of all things, I have my bible, I have Your spirit, whatever You want to say and however You want to reveal it, I want it. Shhhh!

    Luke 18:1-8

    And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
    And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
