Farewell from CWO

After three and a half years, and prayerful consideration I’ve come to the place where it’s time for me to step down from online ministry to better serve my family. Since it was also a good time for many of our writers to put down their pens, we decided to make this, July issue, our final.

I have been incredibly blessed with a team of faith-focussed writers who I pray will continue to minister to you as they walk on new paths.

I’ll leave our archived devotions online so that readers can continue to visit and dig through our articles for continual blessing and growth.

Along with our final farewell, I leave you this verse from Ecclesiastes:

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

Darlene – It’s been a great three and a half years with you (hard to believe it’s been that long!) I’ll miss you and writing for this wonderful ezine – but like you said, it was time to put down my pen – at least for the time being. Thanks again for this wonderful opportunity to share my words with others. God bless you and yours.

    Oh Darlene,

I can’t even begin to tell you how greatly you have been used of God. Your love for Jesus shined through every word you wrote. CWO is where I grew up on the internet. You helped to craft my life and online ministry. I am eternally greatful.

I will miss you so much and hope you will one day return to your blog. I treasure the stories you would tell about your Dad. I could see you in my mind with your kids, so many touching stories… Rich blessings and life-lessons which have made me a better person.

As you head into this new season know this, I love you with an enternal love and long for the day we will finally meet face-to-face.

God bless and visit me often. BIG hugs.

Since I started blogging almost 2 years ago, I have been influenced by this ezine and it’s various ministries.

I can’t even begin to tell you how very much you and this ministry will be missed! I’m just stunned.

May the Lord continue to bless you in your newest season of life.

    You are loved, dear one!

I love you my precious and beautiful sister Darlene. ♥ I’m so grateful the Lord connected our hearts in Christ through CWO. The issues may be paused, but you know my prayers won’t. 🙂

I know we’ll be here again soon…one way or another. 😉

    I love you so much,

I too am so, so very sad and sorry to see this site come to a close.

It has been a huge joy and honor for you to have invited me to be part of your team here with CWO. What a major blessing. Thank you so very much for the wonderful opportunity to be part of such a great, Christ focused website! CWO will be greatly missed, however I am a firm believer in the number one ministry being that to your family and loved ones.

I think I speak for most readers when I ask; should this site ever return to being active down the road again would you please email us? I’d love to be planted back here again if it ever does.

I’ve never met you personally but have a tremendous amount of respect and appreciation for the woman and believer in Christ that you are.

My prayers go with you as you venture into a new journey with your family. This will be so great and fulfilling for all of you. May God’s sweet whisper direct your path daily!

May God bless you every hour of every day!

Thank you for giving the Internet an amazing site to find comfort, peace, love, acceptance, and most importantly answers for the lost and a guided path to lead them to the Holy One, Jesus Christ!

    Love, blessings, and in Him,
    Sarah Lopez

CWO has been my “Home-Site” pretty much from the beginning. Darlene, God used your on-line ministry to connect Christian women world-wide.

Thank you for following His lead in this ministry.

I know that you will enjoy the time with your family and IRL friends. May God continue to bless you and your family…

    In His grace,
    Iris

Wow! I will be missing this magazine so much! While I completely understand the reasons, CWO will be missed very much! I particularly enjoyed Candid Candace and Live Well. I am very glad the archives will be available for use. Thanks to Darlene and all the people who gave time and efforts toward a wonderful magazine!

Darlene, you were my “teacher” about many things written. You were the first smiling face I came across. I loved you as a sister and friend from so early on!

The funny thing about this wonderful community of Christ following women is the strength we gain from one another. I’ve gained much from your table.

When I first began, I saw a note that you had written in the comment section to Iris N.—and you called her “sister”….I surmised that you must be sisters…for the love that was shown in the words. This was in my very early DAYS of blogging. For how in the world could someone across the United States and into Canada be sisters that didn’t look like one another…adoption? I smile now thinking of my silliness. (But I am rather silly sometimes)

But Darlene, when my darling sister Wanda died last year, I had sisters of faith from all over the world reach out to hold my hand and touch my heart with their words of encouragement and love. You were among the very first that day I posted my broken heart on line. I really didn’t know if it was correct blogging protocal or not…but there I did it. Laid it bare for all to see the raw pain. And you all reached in with love and prayed.

I have gone from those days with much strength of heart—from the praying and loving women of Christ that have reached out with unabashed love and concern for their fellow traveler.

Darlene, I love you and appreciate all that you have represented to us. I will miss the magazine…the pages, the fun and joy of it all.

Most of all, I will miss you. BUT I truly understand. And….if you are ever in the vacinity of Northwest Florida…I would be honored to give you all beds in my house to sleep and feed you at my “real life table”!

Much love and prayers to you sister.

    Love you —
    Your sister, Angie Knight
