Hi, this is Lillian from north central Kansas. I was a member of another Christian women's board, one for Christian homemakers, but they are shutting down the end of February. I'm looking to meet new friends and prayer partners.
I'm a veteran of the US Navy, but my life is radically different now. I'm relatively newly married to a missionary evangelist and I now stay at home, (try and) keep the home and help hubby in his ministry. Yes, I confess to being a challenged homemaker! I always had jobs outside the home before and was never that great at organizing either my space or my time, but I want to get better.
I am also a "headcovering sister." Not Mennonite or anything, just saw it in 1 Corinthians and felt convicted to wear it. I'm perfectly happy covering and have never looked back.
My interests are varied. My try and follow the dietary guidelines of real and traditional foods (such as Weston A Price foundation). I also developed a fascination with Mediterranean cuisines after being stationed in Sicily and Spain while in the Navy. I'm somewhat of an artist, learning colored pencil and watercolor pencil. Hubby and I also like to practice organic gardening, I'm still in the learning stage here.
