    Jesus is Lord!

Hello everyone. I am Mary. I am new here. I love this site it makes me closer to GOD. Just want to share this to all of you.

"Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another village. He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty and then for three years was an itinerant preacher. He never owned a home. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put his foot inside a big city. He never traveled more than two hundred miles from the place where He was born. He never did one of those things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but himself….

"While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied Him. He was turned over to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed on a cross between two thieves. While he was dying his executors gambled for the only piece of property he had on earth - His coat. When he was dead, He was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

"Nineteen long centuries have come and gone and today He is the centerpiece of the human race and the leader of the column of progress. I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever were built, all the parliaments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has that one solitary life."

Oh yes! this reminds me of Romans in the bible, chapter 8 if you want to read it
We know now we are free from the law of sin and can without pressure or curiosity break the law of the spirit. Our bodies may want one thing but the spirit knows better! Life is easier now for us thanks be to Jesus, we belong to him. Our bodies won't be dead to sin because of Christ in us the spirit gives life. We are being molded and made right with him. Praise the lord, right? God raised Jesus from the dead and with Gods spirit living in us he will give life to our bodies when we die. God is the one who raised Jesus and he will give life through his spirit that lives in you and I and all of us that belong to him. It says that really, Romans 8:9-11. I love this part even more though, if we live our lives to do wrong things our sinful selves want, we will die spiritually. But if we use the spirits help to stop doing the wrong things we do with our bodies will have true life. You know.. The kind of life that's free from suffering from making the wrong choices.. Doing something we regret or from enjoying sin, we can step away from the pain, suffering, death and dishonor and thoughtless things... all negative things to be happy, filled with joy, safe, ready to dance or sing, a life filled with love.. and we can always change our ways and find the spirit, we can rest there with his comfort. I'm soo sorry I could go on and on. I woke up reading that this morning and it's still with me. I hope you've enjoyed hearing this. I'm very glad you found this website! Welcome! Thank you for sharing too
