Types of plants to be used in moon gardens
Are you preparing to plant a moon garden in your yard? If yes, there are a lot of things that you need to be aware of regarding the landscape design, the types of plants to be used, the mode of arrangement, how to care and such. It is important that you need to be well informed about these things even before you begin the work.
While choosing the plants for the garden, you could focus on the season of bloom for the particular landscape. If you use plants that bloom early, it will light up your garden in early to mid spring, and after that, they pass the baton to the mid season bloomers. You could supplement the mid season bloomers with annuals. The late bloomers are bloomed in the late summer, but they are welcome reinforcements who will grant your moon garden a second wind when they do arrive. Mostly people prefer white flowers for moon gardens to other colors. Plants like Snowdrops, White daffodils and white tulips are favorite early bloomers which are used for moon gardens. Yarrow, Queen Anne’s lace and sweet alyssum are mid-season bloomers for moon gardens. Plants like mums, false dragonhead and garden phlox are late bloomers and are also moon garden favorites.
