Hi, my eight-month-old daughter knocked out her baby teeth, while trying to bite her toy. I got the knocked out tooth and has kept it safe. But, I have heard that it is not safe to reinsert the knocked out tooth as there is an increased chance of infection.
Should 'spacers' be fitted to help keep the gap so that the teeth on either side of the gap won't start growing in the way? It has also been suggested that the dentist might need to x-ray to see if there is any tooth still left in the gum. If this were the case, it needs to be removed.
Anyways, I am planning to make her undergo an emergency dental treatment in Toronto. Can an emergency treatment fix the issue within a day itself? What might be the possible treatments that the dentist might offer?
