As we start a new year, many of us love to make new year’s resolution. A resolution is a process of resolving; a firm decision to do something, or it could even be an answer to a problem. So, why is it that we wait to January 1st to make a resolution? We waste so much time waiting for this day to make a firm decision to do something, and many times we don’t even get to finish or accomplish what we started at the beginning of the year.

Thank God that Jesus does not wait for certain day of the year to be there for us. Instead, he is at our door always (in the present time) knocking. Look what it says in Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me". He is standing at your door right now at this very moment. It does not matter what it is that you need, He is right there and He will always be.

So why not then have a new beginning with Jesus instead of a resolution for the new year? It makes more sense to begin the year with the Creator (Jesus), than to focus in a resolution that we would probably not even stick to it.

Have a new beginning with Jesus--He will give you the strength to resolve whatever it is you need to resolve.
