  1. Is that a TYPO?

    by , 01-02-2012 at 02:28 PM
I read every morning from The Daily Bread (rbc ministries). Today, I pick up the booklet and started to read the verse of the day. I thought the printer made a typo.

Here’s the verse: Habakkuk 3:18 (NKJV) Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Did you catch it? Its “I will joy” in the God of my salvation.

Isn’t that the coolest verse? I will joy (delight, jewel, wonder, treasure, pearl, prize and gem).

  2. Courage, Baby

    by , 12-28-2011 at 03:34 PM
I just saw a commercial on TV advertising a new movie where a man buys a zoo. Evidently, the zoo changes the man, the family and the town where the zoo is situated.

One line spoken by the Dad in the commercial says: All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage. I promise you something good will happen.

Well, friends, we have chosen twenty seconds of insane courage. We spoke out, stepped out and we keep walking in courage. Not only the first time we asked Jesus into ...

  3. Expect

I’ve been watching all the Christmas movies this season even taping some if we are gone from home. I heard one of the characters in one of the movies say: “Miracles always happen when you least expect them!”

Sure, that is a true statement but then, again, I’ve never heard God tell me: Watch out your miracle is coming, have you?

What happens when we don’t receive a miracle or we don’t get an answer to our prayers?

Rest in God – 1 Kings 5:4: But now ...

Giotto ca. 1267 – 1337; The Adoration of the Magi (Santa Croce)

I have been reading lately on Epiphany, and though I don’t belong to a denomination that celebrates Epiphany, I have been inspired to reflect on the symbolism of the holiday. Epiphany is the period from Christmas, counting twelve days until the Sixth of January; the Twelfth Night. It is to recognize (now that the first arrival has come, the birth of Jesus), and worship God for sharing ...

  5. Finishing Strong!

    by , 12-21-2011 at 03:49 PM
As we embark upon the close of 2011, I am reminded of a very familiar scripture written by The Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7. The scripture states, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Paul referenced this particular scripture during his second imprisonment in Rome. Paul knew that his days on this earth were coming to an end, but even until the very end The Apostle Paul remained faithful to God and to the work of the ministry for Christ's ...
