Remember the story of Joseph in Genesis? Joseph, beloved then betrayed, sold into slavery by family, thrown into jail and then honored by a Pharaoh. Joseph lived during times of plenty and times of famine. How many times of famines have your lived through?

Genesis 45: 4-5 says: Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Come close to me.” When they had done so, he said, “I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt! And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.
Genesis 45: 7-8 says: But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God.

Within the space of a few verses we are shown assurance, forgiveness, mercy and great faith and great love. I wouldn’t blame Joseph for being angry at his family. But Joseph steps up to the plate! Proclaiming great news!

All is forgiven! God sent Joseph ahead to save! God will preserve! God will deliver!

God has a Plan for us ALL!

Joseph sends his brothers back to Canaan to bring Jacob (Israel) and the whole kit and caboodle back to Egypt to live through the famine.

Genesis 45: 24 – Then he (Joseph) sent his brothers away (to Canaan) and as they were leaving Joseph said to them, “Don’t quarrel along the way!”

Boy, does Joseph know his family! Joseph just wants his family to come back. Don’t forget to extend assurance, forgiveness, mercy, great faith and great love to others. Yes, your family, too!

On your journey – The journey God has planned for you

Just remember – No quarreling on the Way!

I love the testimony of Joseph and God's faithful throughout his life. It reminds me of His faithfulness to me personally. How blessed we are that our God will always be there with us in and out of the fire. Thanks for this post tonight.
