Keep Me Focused

In a prison cell, he penned the words that lay highlighted in pink centuries later in the one thing I hold closest to my heartómy bible. Paul prayed for the saints that they would learn to sense what is vital and prize what is of real value.
Where is my focus Lord? Do I heal the brokenhearted the way you heal them? Do I feed the hungry the way you feed them? Do I forgive the way you forgive?
What is my perception of them? Do I see them through eyes of grace or through cold eyes of blame?
You were here. For thirty years you felt the afflictions and troubles of man and you were even tempted with sin. You know how easy it is for us to fail. Is that why you pick us up so easily, forgiving us over and over again?
When you said you had no where to lay your head, was it because you were always about your Fatherís business, seeking out the broken, the hungry, and the lost; in a constant search to save men from the deserved penalty of their sin?
It has been said that our heart is the seat of our affections and desire. Father, today, I pray that my heart would be focused on what really matters to your kingdom.
