What is your favorite passage?

I did not see this thread here and I am greatly curious about what my fellow christian women's (well, I'm a young woman anyway ^^) favorite passage, scripture in the Bible is. Which one means the most to you and helps you through life? Anyone in particular you try your best to live by?

John 8:7
He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

To me, Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone, is one of the things a lot of people today forget. A lot of people judge others for the bad things they have done as if they themselves are not guilty of any wrong doing or things that Jesus himself might frown upon. Whenever I am feeling less than liking towards someone, I always remember this passage. I am not perfect, not one of us is. I always ask myself what Jesus would do. So, because of this, I never judge because I do not have the right. Only God has the right to pass judgement on his creations. Treat everyone how you would want to be treated is also a great way to look at things in life. I feel it makes me a better person.

Hi, Tuesday! I'm so thankful that God has given us His Word to encourage and to teach us. All of the Scriptures work together to give us a revelation of who God is and how we are to live so that we glorify Him...and, sometimes, He will lead us to a particular passage for a season in our lives. For a while now, I keep coming back to Psalm 73. Particularly, these verses (NIV):

23 Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
24 You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

27 Those who are far from you will perish;
you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.
28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge;
I will tell of all your deeds.

Every time I read this portion of Scripture, I am reminded that I find my fulfillment and purpose in Him!

Psalm 51:10 - 12

"10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me." These verses have led me back to God in the last year-and-a-half, when I had done so much to distance myself from him. Verse 12 has become my prayer for each and every day. Remembering how I felt on the day I asked Christ to enter my heart makes me want to experience that feeling all the time.

For me it's Romans 8. I come back to it time and again. Here Paul talks about hope and faith, about God's promises to us and his love for us, about prayer, about victory in walking with him through any storm. "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or pesecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril or sword?"......"Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to seporate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Wow, what a topic! :-D How does a body choose? :-D
One of my bedrock verses when I was a teen was John 14:6 "Jesus answered, 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man comes to the Father except through me." It helped to anchor me in the midst of all the distractions that come to teens, to help me focus on the Lord and what Life truly was; that verse has held through my life as one of the planks I stand on in rocky times. Another passage that does the same for me, calling me to the Word and the things of God, is Psalm 1:
"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His word he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season, and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Not so the wicked, they are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of wicked will perish."

Oh my, I have to say that Galatians 2:20 is my all-time favorite and most often relied on verse - and since I discovered it in the Message Paraphrase of the Bible, my little "people-pleasing" self has found much strength to look to my Lord God for approval and acceptance rather than to any human. "...It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God..." No longer driven... I'm encouraged to let go of that "my" grip I've had on the life I live, to realize that by living in faith in my Lord Jesus Christ, Who loved me to the point of dying for me, both my ego and my need for man's approval are truly crucified along with Christ Jesus. Since God loves us to such a degree that He gave His Son, part of Himself, to satisfy our sin debt to Him, then I'm free to love Him extravagantly, without need to "impress" Him with my efforts, my spirituality, my...anything! I can just be so grateful to God for His love that I throw caution to the wind and love Him beyond reason!

My favorite book of the Bible is the book of Psalms. There is so much wisdom and encouragement to be found in that book. My favorite single verse is John 16:33 which says, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." That verse gives me the strength and confidence I need to face each new day.

2 Corinthians! starting at chapter 4! its about freedom and salvation when I was muslim, that book right there broke me away from a chain of rules I was living by! and than in the book of Mathew, it taught me how the flesh will always wage war against the spirit and how we must rise above and cling to our hearts, To not always run with desires but to go to the lord and seek strength and so much more. I love 2nd Corinthians and Mathew so much I go back to them all the time and refer to them a lot!
