I'm frazzled and need God to give me, personally, some stamina for this long weekend to come. Pray for all the extended family, that our 'reunion' will bring comfort to each other, that we can rejoice that his mom doesn't suffer in her body anymore--and that we would behold His goodness. Thanks so much, Vicki, "Windows to My Soul"
Comments:
I will be lifting your family up in my prayers. My heart goes out to you all, my dear mom passed away last april. May God surround you all with peace and comfort.
Lord I'm thankful for women on this prayer team who are praying in their cars, at their sink doing dishes, or knelt down by the side of their bed. I'm thankful that they're praying for people like Vicki who need comfort this weekend. I'm grieved that Vicki's family lost their mother so quickly, please comfort the family and draw them together. Be with Vicki this weekend, and please bring her to my memory often, so I can share in this prayer with You.
Lord God, I lift up Vicki and her family to you this morning. So many emotions will be running through all as families come together or a funeral. There is also so much to arranged and taken care of. I pray for comfort, Lord. I pray for peace. Be with Vicki and give her strength. She has hearts to take care of as well as plans. Help her to be able to minister your love to everyone.
Heavenly Father,
I ask that you will comfort this family and give them peace and draw them close to one another. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen.
Dear sweet praying friends:
The Lord surely heard your prayers and poured out His abundant grace and comfort during this difficult weekend. Things fell into place. The funeral was very moving and comforted us to realize my husband's mom is with Jesus right now. God also infused me with energy to get through the long day on Sunday---a real praise note coming from someone with an invisible chronic illness! He's amazing! Continue to pray that the Lord would comfort all the family in the coming weeks as we adjust to things. Your praying hearts are such a blessing to the body of Christ. May He pour out His abundance on you and yours today. hugs, Vicki
I am lifting you in prayer now Vicki - it is always hard to go through these times but I know God will strenghten you and your family.
