___________________________ Two well known Christian authors were brought to my attention today. Both are in need of our prayers. These letters were sent to us... Philip Yancey has been in a very bad automobile accident in New Mexico this afternoon (we are not really sure of the time of accident). He has suffered a possible broken vertebrae in his neck and possible puncture of his aorta. He was lucid enough (thanks to his good physical shape and mental capabilities) to call his mother and let her know. He asked that she call us (the writer of this letter) and get prayers started among the believers we know here. Janet is on her way to where the accident happened in New Mexico. Please pray for her safety as she drives in the terrible Colorado weather. Philip told his mother that he totaled his car... saw all his belongings on the road... he is in great pain and on morphine. He has been told that they may "life flight" him back to Denver as soon as he is stabilized. ________________________ From Cec Murphey's agent Deidre Knigh... I just had some very serious news from Cec Murphey. His home burned down to the ground this morning and his son-in-law was killed in the fire. I told him that I would spread the word for prayer support, and without inundating Cec with emails (which he won't get) or calls (which he doesn't need right now) could y'all get folks mobilized into some serious prayer action? Let's all pray hard! And please spread this word among Cec's friends and supporters. Note: There is also a monetary gift that supporters are putting together for Cec, which I won't post here since this is prayer only, but should you be interested, contact CWO and we will send the information to you. Heavenly Father, how something can happen so quickly. Father I lift up Philip up to you. May you stablize his body, begin healing all his broken part. Help him with the pain, and get him home safely. Surround him with knowledgeable doctors.

Father I can not imagine the pain Cec is going through right now. Losing his house is one thing, but to lose his brother in law also is salt on an open wound. Father come down and surround this family in a might way. Comfort them like only you can, as bystanders we would love to take some of this pain away. But only you can. Help everything to go smoothly with arrangements that need to be made. Father surround both of these individuals today, hold them in the care of your hand. Amen. Links to this post: << Home
